2016-07-14 16:58:42 life is not alsways the rainbow and sunshine, it can be a very mean and nasty place and i don't care how tough you are. it can beat you down to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

but it is not about how hard the life can hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. how much you can take and keep pushing forward. that's how winning start.

1. Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response.

2. It's a job that's never started that takes the longest to finish.

3. You've got 86,400 seconds today, have you used one to smile?

4. If you don't like something, change it.

5. Do what you love, and do it often.

6. Happiness is like a kiss, you must share it to enjoy it.

2016-07-06 20:45:59 A father left 17 Camels as an Asset for his Three Sons.

When the Father passed away, his sons opened up the will.

The Will of the Father stated that the Eldest son should get Half of 17 Camels,

The Middle Son should be given 1/3rd of 17 Camels,

Youngest Son should be given 1/9th of the 17 Camels,

As it is not possible to divide 17 into half or 17 by 3 or 17 by 9, the sons started to fight with each other.

So, they decided to go to a wise man.

The wise man listened patiently about the Will. The wise man, after giving this thought, brought one camel of his own & added the same to 17. That increased the total to 18 camels.

Now, he started reading the deceased father’s will.

Half of 18 = 9.
So he gave 9 camels
to the eldest son.

1/3rd of 18 = 6.
So he gave 6 camels
to the middle son.

1/9th of 18 = 2.
So he gave 2 camels
to the youngest son.

Now add this up:
9 + 6 + 2 = 17 &
This leaves 1 camel,
which the wise man took back.

MORAL: The attitude of negotiation & problem solving is to find the 18th camel i.e. the common ground. Once a person is able to find the common ground, the issue is resolved. It is difficult at times.

However, to reach a solution, the first step is to believe that there is a solution. If we think that there is no solution, we won’t be able to reach any!

If you liked this story, please share with all. You might spark a thought, inspire & possibly change a life forever!

2016-07-04 17:49:35 Way to happiness (A small story)  #‎life

One day a beautiful expensively dressed lady went to a psychiatrist. She felt that her whole life was empty and it had no meaning. So, the lady went to visit a counsellor to seek out happiness.
.
The counsellor called the old lady who cleaned the office floors.
The counsellor then said to the rich lady, "I'm going to ask Mary to
tell you how she found happiness. please listen to her."
.
So the old lady put down her broom and sat on a chair and told her story: "Well, my husband died of malaria and three months later my only son was killed by a car. I had nobody. I had nothing left. I could not sleep, I could not eat, I never smiled at anyone, I even thought of ending my own life. Then one evening a little kitten followed me home from work.
.
Somehow I felt sorry for that kitten. It was cold outside, so I decided to let the kitten in. I got some milk, and the kitten licked the plate clean. Then it rubbed against my leg and. For the first time in months, I smiled. Then I stopped to think, if helping a little kitten could make me smile, maybe doing something for people could make me happy. So, the next day I baked some biscuits and took them to a neighbour who was sick in bed. Every day I tried to do something nice for someone. It made me so happy to see them happy.
.
Today, I don't know of anybody who sleeps and eats better than I do.
I have found happiness, by giving it to others."
.
After hearing this, the rich lady cried. She had everything that money could buy, but she had lost the things which money cannot buy. "The beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are.
But the beauty of life depends on how happy others can be,
because of you..."
The rich lady understood "Helping others can make my life happy.
Happiness is not a destination, it's a journey.
Happiness is not tomorrow, it is now.
Happiness is not dependency, it is a decision.
Happiness is what you are, not what you have."

2016-07-03 05:40:56 Effort is important!  ‎twist

The engine of a giant ship failed to start.

The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine.

Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed!

A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.

"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"

So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."

The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap $ 9998.00

Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes all the difference

2016-07-01 19:31:41 A Must Read Story !!!!

In 1892 at _Stanford University_ , an 18-year-old student was struggling to pay his fees. He was an orphan, and not knowing where to turn for money, he came up with a bright idea. He and a friend decided to host a musical concert on campus to raise money for their education.

They reached out to the great pianist Ignacy J. Paderewski. His manager demanded a guaranteed fee of $2000 for the piano recital. A deal was struck and the boys began to work to make the concert a success.
The big day arrived. But unfortunately, they had not managed to sell enough tickets. The total collection was only $1600. Disappointed, they went to Paderewski and explained their plight. They gave him the entire $1600, plus a cheque for the balance $400. They promised to honour the cheque at the soonest possible.

“No,” said Paderewski. “This is not acceptable.” He tore up the cheque, returned the $1600 and told the two boys: “Here’s the $1600. Please deduct whatever expenses you have incurred. Keep the money you need for your fees. And just give me whatever is left”. The boys were surprised, and thanked him profusely.
It was a small act of kindness. But it clearly marked out Paderewski as a great human being.
Why should he help two people he did not even know? We all come across situations like these in our lives. And most of us only think “If I help them, what would happen to me?” The truly great people think, “If I don’t help them, what will happen to them?” They don’t do it expecting something in return. They do it because they feel it’s the right thing to do.

Paderewski later went on to become the Prime Minister of Poland*. He was a great leader, but unfortunately when the World War began, Poland was ravaged. There were more than _1.5 million people starving in his country, and no money to feed them_ . Paderewski did not know where to turn for help. He reached out to the US Food and Relief Administration for help.
He heard there was a man called Herbert Hoover — who later went on to become the US President. Hoover agreed to help and quickly shipped tons of food grains to feed the starving Polish people.
_A calamity was averted_ .Paderewski*l was relieved.

He decided to go across to meet Hoover and personally thank him. When Paderewski began to thank Hoover for his _noble gesture_ Hoover quickly interjected and said, " You shouldn’t be thanking me Mr. Prime Minister. You may not remember this, but several years ago, you helped two young students go through college. I was one of them .”

_The world is a wonderful place. What goes around comes around. Please help others to the best of your ability. In the long run you may be helping yourself. God never forgets anyone who sows a good seed in other people, never_ .

Nothing in nature lives for itself. Rivers don't drink their own water. Trees don't eat their own fruit. Sun doesn't give heat for itself. Flowers don't spread fragrance for themselves. Living for others is the rule of nature. And therein lies the secret of living .

2016-06-30 05:44:36 A burning desire to be and to do is the starting point from which the dreamer must take off.

Many years ago, the commencement speaker at a prestigious university asked all members of the graduating class who had a definite plan for their lives to hold up their hands. As he looked around the room, only three hands were raised. Twenty-five years later, when the class held a reunion, the combined net worth of those three individuals exceeded that of the remainder of the class. People who know where they are going always achieve far greater levels of success than those who merely drift through life, expecting circumstances to create opportunities for them. Successful people create their own opportunities by focusing on goals with an intensity that borders on obsession. In this way, every action moves them toward their goal.

How a Password Changed my Life ... A true story from the Reader’s Digest ...
I was having a great morning until I sat down in front of my office computer. “your password has expired”, a server message flashed on my screen, with instructions for changing it. Coming up with a new code doesn’t seem like a big deal, unless you work at my company, where we have to change it monthly, using at least one uppercase character, one lower case character, one symbol and one number. Oh and the password can’t be fewer than eight characters. And I can’t use any of the same passwords I’ve used in the past three months.
Suddenly I was furious. What didn’t make it any better was that I was deeply depressed after my recent divorce. Disbelief over what she had done to me was what I thought all day.
That didn’t mean anything to the empty field with the pulsating cursor, waiting for me to type a password that I have to re-enter many times – for the next 30 days. I remembered a tip I’d heard from my former boss. He’d said, “I’m going to use a password that is going to change my life”. I couldn’t focus on getting things done in my current mood. There was clear indication that I needed to regain control over my life, but I couldn’t heed them. My password became the indicator. My password reminded me that I shouldn’t let myself be a victim of my recent breakup and that I was strong enough to do something about it.
I made my password – Forgive@her. I had to type this password several times every day, each time my computer would lock. Each time I came back from lunch I wrote forgive her. The simple action changed the way I looked at my ex-wife. That constant reminder of reconciliation led me to accept the way things happened and helped me deal with my depression. As one month wore on, I felt a slow healing began to take place. By the time the server prompted me to change my password following month, I felt free.
The next time I had to change my password I thought about the next thing that I had to get done. My password became Quit@smoking4ever .
It motivated me to follow my goal and I was able to quit smoking.
One month later, my password became Save4trip@europe, and in three months I was able to visit Europe.
Seeing how reminders helped me materialize my goals kept me motivated and excited. While its sometimes difficult to come up with your next goal, keeping at it brings great results.
After a few months my password was

Life is going to change again
