Active and passive verbs

Depending on the way in which you word a sentence, a verb can be either active or passive

When the verb is active, the subject of the verb is doing the action, as in these examples

France beat  Brazil in the final
[subject]
[active verb]
More than 300 million people
speak Spanish.
[subject]
[active verb]
Mamad
will take the matter forward
[subject]
[active verb]

 

When the verb is passive (مجهول)
the subject undergoes the action rather than doing it:

Brazil
was beaten in the final
[subject]
[passive verb]
Spanish
is spoken by more than 300 million people worldwide.

[passive verb]
The matter
will be taken forward by Jack

فعل بیان گر و نشان دهنده کار و فعالیتی هست که شخص آن را انجام میدهد یا به عبارت ساده تر اتفاق یا حادثه ای که در جمله رخ میدهد را فعل میگویند و به عمل ,اتفاق ,موقعیت ,تغییر اشاره میکند طبق مثال های زیر

For example, verbs describe:

an action – run, hit, travel

an event – rain, occur

a situation – be, seem, have

a change – become, grow, develop

شکل اصلی فعل همراه با to میباشد

The basic form of a verb is known as the infinitive. It’s often preceded by the word ‘to’:



Molly decided to follow him
