Pie chart

Q: The pie charts below compare water usage in San Diego, California and the rest of the world.

Answer:

The pie charts give information about the water used for residential, industrial and agricultural purposes in San Diego County, California, and the world as a whole.

It is noticeable that more water is consumed by homes than by industry or agriculture in the two American regions. By contrast, agriculture accounts for the vast majority of water used worldwide.

In San Diego County and California State, residential water consumption accounts for 60% and 39% of total water usage. By contrast, a mere 8% of the water used globally goes to homes. The opposite trend can be seen when we look at water consumption for agriculture. This accounts for a massive 69% of global water use, but only 17% and 28% of water usage in San Diego and California respectively.

Such dramatic differences are not seen when we compare the figures for industrial water use. The same proportion of water (23%) is used by industry in San Diego and worldwide, while the figure for California is 10% higher, at 33%.

Young Man Lost Opportunity:

It’s a story of young man who wanted to marry beautiful daughter of farmer. He went to farmer to ask for permission to marry his daughter.

Farmer looked at him and said, “I will allow you to marry my daughter but you have to full fill one condition.”

Further he continued and told him condition, “Son go out and stand out in field. A am going to release three bulls one at a time and you have to grab tail of any of three bulls. if you can catch tail of any one of three bulls then you can marry my daughter.”

Young man went to field and stood there waiting for bulls to be released.

The barn door opened and came out one of the biggest bull he had ever seen. So he decided to let this one go and wait for second bull. So he went over to side and let bull pass through.

Again next time barn opened for second bull. This one was bigger and even more fierece than previous bull. This time again boy thought that may be next one could be better choice so he ran to side and let bull pass through.

Now door opened for third and came last bull. Boy got a big smile on his face. This was the weakest bull he had ever seen. So he positioned himself and was all set to take on bull and grab his tail. As bull came running by he jumped at exact movement. As he threw his hands to grab tail to his surprise this bull had NO Tail.

In conclusion: Life is full of Opportunities. So Grab the first one.

Tips to Improve Your Writing Skills

Make writing a daily habit!
Of course, practice makes perfect. Make a daily plan, even if it's just a paragraph. Comparing language learning to sports is like learning how to become a professional soccer player after one or two tries and top two scores. Funny, huh?)

Read, read and read more!
Many things are best learned through examples. You will learn how to perform multiple styles, develop your own style, and if necessary, "make your own style" of your styles.

In short
Try not to use complex and long words in your writing. They often confuse the reader and make them less interested in what you have to say. Keep your sentences short. Never use filler words like "very", "really", "just".

Don't forget to edit well!
Errors distract the reader from the content of your text. Too much editing. Error editing is possible with online editors like Grammarly.

Develop a clear message! Limit unnecessary words in the text that do not correspond to the content of the text. Check out what he has to say!

Log in and write! Sometimes the hardest step in the process is sitting down and helping. At this point, you should have a clear plan of what you want to say and a general idea of how you want to say it. It can be scary, but remember, the hard work is now over!

Agree / Disagree

Q: Some people say that all popular TV programmes should aim to educate viewers about important social issues. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Answer:

It is widely discussed that all well-known television shows should attempt to raise public awareness about social concerns. In my opinion, such initiatives by well-known entertainment shows are necessary. The main reason for my viewpoint is that the general public extensively watches all popular entertainment programmes. Therefore, by communicating a social message, they may educate people about it. In the forthcoming paragraphs, I shall explain my point of view.

These days, entertainment shows are popular among all ages and genders. Suppose TV shows focus on teaching people about social concerns in their communities. Then it's without a doubt that it will reach the masses and subliminally inform and help people become more conscious of the country's problems. Moreover, these messages raise awareness of social concerns such as rising crime, environmental difficulties, and many others that occur on a daily basis and pose possible hazards and threats to people's lives. Hence it allows people to defend themselves and enhance their quality of life.

Another aspect to consider is that there aren't enough mediums for individuals to learn about the concerns. Because the publications that usually cover these topics, such as newspapers and magazines, are not regularly read by the general public, especially young people. The best method to reach out to them and pass on information, whether directly or indirectly, is through entertainment programmes. Even if a portion of the show's time is devoted to educational programming, this would have a ripple effect on society at large.

In a way, it might also be true that such inclusion would jeopardize the essence of the programs. However, program directors' creativity can assist in delivering the social message while still protecting the program's core in a unique way.

To conclude, popular entertainment programmes are the most successful means of reaching and influencing the public. Hence inclusion of social awareness segments is a laudable initiative from the program owner.

Map

Q: The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same parl today.

Answer:

The two maps show images of a park approximately one hundred years apart. The park has changed almost entirely since it was first opened in 1920.

In 1920, the park had a fountain in the centre, and to the west of that was a stage for musicians. There were rose gardens in the north-west and south-west corners, as well as one in the north-east, next to a pond for water plants. In the south-east of the park there was a glasshouse. There were also seats located around the edges of the park.

Today, there is little that remains of the original features, except for the two entrances and one of the rose gardens. The fountain has been replaced by a central rose garden, which is surrounded by seats, and to the west there is now an amphitheatre. The water pond has made way for a children’s play park, and the nearby rose garden has been turned into a café.

2024-02-28 16:28:08 Never let one failure from the past hold you back in the future

“As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.

He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. ‘Well,’ trainer said, ‘when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.’

The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.”
