In Beta version of Telegram for Android, chats that have a verification icon have a checkmark inside the dialog page.

Before that, the checkbox was visible only in general chat lists, or while revealing profile information.

Beta version of Telegram for Android received an updated chat preview mode.

Scrolling through the dialog in the preview was a significant improvement in the option — before that, only the last few messages were displayed.

Among other things: now in the preview you can mark a chat as read or unread, pin or unpin it, adjust notifications, or completely delete the selected dialogue.
