Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46

Pearls are very precious because they are difficult to come by and rarely seen. In a parable, the Lord Jesus likened the kingdom of God to a merchant who hunts for rare and precious pearls. The pearls the Lord was referring to includes you.

You are rare, precious and beautiful to God. That’s the reason He gave up everything for your salvation (John 3:16). Therefore, never look down on yourself for you are special and God loves you so much.
