ABOUT DONKEYS

Donkeys are domesticated animals. They are intelligent, friendly and playful animals too. Here are a few facts about them:

1. They are commonly used for manual labour like transportation, pulling a plough and So on.

2. Donkeys are dependable and hardworking; no wonder people find them very useful.

3. They love eating straw and hay, and would eat a whole lot each day.

4, Unlike most animals, donkeys don't need to drink so much water.

5. They look a lot like horses but are different in some features like their longer ears.

6. Donkeys form strong bonds with one another, and it can be hard to separate them.

Do you know every morning you wake up, the Lord is eager to hear your voice and speak with you? He sure is! That's because He loves you and is happy with you. You’re His beloved child, and accepted in Him (Ephesians 1:6).

He values you very highly, and treasures you far above everything He’s created. That’s because you’re like Jesus, and you should live the life of faith which pleases Him. Think high of yourself today because you’re important to Him. Chin up, chest out and walk tall because your heavenly Father is happy with you.

Every time you study or you’re taught the Word, you’re really looking into the mirror of God. The image you see in the mirror is who you really are.

For example, the Word says “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). lt means no matter what comes your way, you shouldn't fret because you’re already a victor. Glory to God.

There’s so much in the Word of God about your new identity in Christ. Therefore, study it diligently and meditate on what it says.

Habits are formed over a period of time. For example, it’s a habit to brush your teeth every morning before going to school. In the same way, you should make a habit of praying. The Lord Jesus said, “...men always ought to pray...” (Luke 18:1). In other words, make it a habit to pray often.

Prayer is fellowship with God, where you’ re talking to and with Him. It’s during such times that God guides you through His Word. Every day at noon, we pray together on “pastorchrislive’. Ask your parents how you can be a part of it.

Life is full of choices. From when you wake up in the morning till you go to bed at night, each day presents us with choices. Each choice you make is important. For example, being born again is an important choice we all made. This choice separated you to a life of glory and blessing.

Now, you've received this beautiful life in Christ; it’s your choice to live according to the Word. Therefore, choose to be an example to everyone around you, and talk to someone about Jesus today.

Refuse to be weighed down by what may have happened yesterday; it’s gone with yesterday. Today is a beautiful new day, and it’s God’s gift to you. Therefore, make the best of it by spreading God's love and joy through soul-winning.

Today's opening scripture was God's promise to Abraham. This promise was fulfilled, and as the seed of Abraham, you're a partaker of it too. That means you’re a blessing, and a distributor of His blessings (Romans 4:16).

Remember Joseph; he was a carrier and distributor of God’s blessing even as a slave in Potiphar’s house (Genesis 39:5). So, refuse to look down on yourself; you're a distributor of God's blessings. Because of you, your family, school, nation and everything around you is blessed.

It's our responsibility to build our nation. No one is going to come from anywhere to make the society we live in better; we’ve got to do that ourselves!

You build your society by first speaking words of blessing over it. Don’t join those who only see and speak evil over their countries and leaders; this is wrong. Also, make it a habit to keep your surroundings clean and speak kindly to people, especially the elderly. This shows you’re different and excellent.

God's Word is powerful enough to bring anyone out of any situation, no matter how difficult it seems. The Word made old Abraham a father; barren Sarah a mother; Joseph, a young prisoner, a Prime Minister; David, a teenager, a king; Solomon the wisest king in Israel (before Jesus); and so on. The Word can do so much more for you.

Therefore, go for the Word through diligent study and meditation, just like you re doing now reading your devotional. As you do, it'll get into your spirit and make you all it talks about.
