Today’s opening scripture has been fulfilled. The moment you were born again, and received the Holy Spirit, you were prepared to be at the top. That means, even at school, you ought to be among the best in your studies!

What do you have to do to remain number one? Be a diligent student by studying your books and doing all your assignments. Also, pay attention to your teacher in class, and refuse to be distracted. This is how to get the best from school, and remain at the. top.

The Bible is full of examples of God's children who went through tough situations but never gave up. Therefore, whenever you're faced with a difficult situation, don’t give up. Why? The reason is that the Greater One lives in you. That means no situation is too difficult for you. Moreover, the Bible has declared that in all these things, you’ve already won (Romans 8:37).

Therefore, be full of courage in the face of any challenge, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17).

As God's Word comes to you, either as you’ re studying your devotional or in church, it’s showing you the image of who you are, and all you are in Christ. Remember, the Word is a mirror (2 Corinthians 3:18); each time you study it, you’re looking into it.

As much as it’s important to study the Word diligently and often, you’ve also got to declare what it says about you. The Bible says you shall have whatever you say (Mark 11:23); therefore, as you see the image of you in the Word, say it!

Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were taken away from their home to Babylon. While there, they were trained along with other young men from different nations. When it was time to present them to the king, the King observed that they were ten times better and more excellent than all the other young men. What made the difference? The Holy Spirit!

You've received the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). His presence in you makes you special and excellent, He makes all the difference. Learn to fellowship with Him every day as you pray in other tongues often.

The power to change hopeless situations and make things happen isn’t in heaven; it’s right in you. You received this power the moment you received the Holy Spirit.

When you’re faced with any tough situation, you simply need to stir up this power in you by speaking in other tongues. The apostles knew this, and when they spoke in tongues, miracles happened (Acts 4:31).

Therefore, take advantage of the power in you today by speaking in other tongues. This is how to activate the power of God in you to make things happen.

Elisha and his servant woke up to find they were surrounded by their enemies. Elisha said to his frightened servant, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (2 Kings 6:16). Then, God opened the eyes of his servant; he saw that Elisha was surrounded and protected by chariots of fire from God.

Therefore, refuse to be afraid or intimidated by anything, even if it’s a difficult subject at school; don’t let anything scare you. The greater one lives in you (1 John 4:4), and you're more than a conqueror.

It would be a strange sight to see a mango tree with lemon fruits growing on it. Mangoes grow on mango trees and lemons on lemon trees.

The Bible describes us as “...trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD...” (Isaiah 61:3). Just as you would only find mango fruits on mango trees, only fruits of righteousness should be found in you. What’s more, as a tree of righteousness, you’ve been anointed to produce fruits of peace, love, joy and excellence.

So, be known for the righteous fruits you produce everywhere you go.

In school, everyone has a part to play. It’s the janitor’s role to clean the surroundings. It might seem like a small job, but no one wants to sit in a dirty class or stinky environment. That shows just how important that role is.

Every child of God has a part in spreading the Gospel all over the world. When we do our part by preaching the Gospel everywhere, and shining as lights to our world, we are filling the whole world, “...with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14).

Every child of God is different from the rest of the world. The Bible says God has, “...called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

Therefore, refuse to behave like everyone else; be different. Don’t join in an activity just because it’s popular with everyone. If it’s wrong, don’t join them to do it. Remember you're different; you've been called to show them the better way through the Word of God.

Reach out to those around you with the love of God, as you tell them about Jesus and invite them to receive Jesus using the prayer of salvation [below] on page 48
