The only way to change a situation isn’t by complaining, and whining about it, no; it’s by talking to it. Today’s opening scripture says, “...whoever says to this mountain...”. You've got to say what it is you want.

That mountain might be a bad grade, a fever or a situation around you; don’t complain and talk about how bad it is; rather, speak to it. Speak in other tongues, and release your words of faith over the situation then watch it change.

The Lord Jesus healed a man possessed with evil spirits when He arrived the country of Gardarenes. The man didn’t keep quiet about what had happened to him, no; "...he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him” (Luke 8:39).

Be quick to talk about what God has done for you. Tell someone about His love, mercy, provisions, and blessings in your life. As you do so, you’re helping them have faith for their own miracles, and like you they'll testify too.

It’s sad to see how selfish the world has become; people looking out only for themselves, and not caring about others. But as God's children, we’re not this way. God's love has been shed abroad in our hearts (Romans 5:5), and an important quality of God's love is that it isn’t selfish. God's love doesn’t look out for itself but cares for others too. This is why you shouldn't be selfish.

Therefore, be different as you let the love of God in you flow freely as you show others genuine care, kindness and love.

Today's opening scripture is talking about you. Take some time to think about it, you're God’s own dear child. That’s greater than being the child of the president of any nation, You're the child of the most high God, the Creator of heaven, earth and all that’s in it. Glory to God!

This should put some spring in your steps, and a smile on your face. You're not ordinary, you're someone special, you’re the child of the Lord God Almighty.

God's Word shows us our important role in prayer. Every child of God has the task of praying for everyone. Not just for yourself and your family, pray also for your neighbours, school teachers, pastors, leaders and everyone all around the world. This is a precious and important assignment, and God couldn't trust it to anyone else!

Therefore, in the place of prayer, along with praying for yourself and your family, learn to pray for others. Pray that the will of God be done in their lives, and the power of the enemy be broken off of them and that they serve God with all their hearts.

There’re children who throw tantrums any time they’re told to clean their rooms or do a chore at home. That’s not a good behaviour. The Bible says you should do everything; and that includes your chores, with joy.

Samuel, while he was serving with Prophet Eli, did everything he was told to do diligently, and without complaining. No wonder the Lord chose to make him Prophet Eli’s successor ahead of Eli’s sons after his death.

Like Samuel, wouldn't you want to be the Lord's preferred candidate for greater blessings? Learn to be diligent and do your chores with joy as the Lord desires.

Remember the story of creation? The Bible says the world was without form and void; in other words, it was in a mess. What happened next was amazing. The Holy Spirit came upon the situation, God spoke and creation began (Genesis 1:1-3).

You‘ve received the precious gift of the Holy Spirit; therefore, you have in you the power to create. You don’t have to stay stuck in any situation you don’t like. Even if it involves your family or nation, you can change it.

Faith is not a leap in the dark like most think; it’s a leap on the Word of God. Faith is acting on God’s Word, irrespective of what's going on around or in you.

The Bible is full of examples of people who defied the odds and lived a life of faith. Abraham, David, Paul the Apostle and so many others lived a life of faith; and thus always overcame every challenge before them.

Choose to live a life of faith by holding on to God’s Word and what the Word has said about you. Proclaim the Word boldly every day.

Hearing God’s voice isn’t a mystery. In fact, to hear and recognise His voice, you've got to know His Word. God, and His Word are one (John 1:1). It’s that simple!

Every time you study, and fellowship with the Word, you’re training your spirit to hear, and recognise His voice.

So, let God’s Word dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16) as you spend more time studying God's Word, and praying in tongues. This is how to tune your spirit to hear His voice.

Kathy was always full of joy everywhere she went. One day, her friend Joan asked her why she was always so joyful and excited. “I’m always joyful because the joy of the Lord is in me so, I can't have down days!” she said.

Joy is a fruit of the Spirit, and every child of God has it. That means you can be happy every second of every day irrespective of what’s going on around you. So, choose to be happy and excited every second of every day.
