The goal was taken clinically after a run in behind, with good chest control before firing into the top corner. Fernandes continues to lead the assists and goal involvements charts for Euro 2024 Qualifying.

| Andre Onana’s Cameroon unfortunately fell to a 1-0 defeat in a friendly against Senegal. He didn’t feature in an earlier loss to Russia, but his inclusion against Senegal shows he remains in the picture having returned to the international fold last month.
