VO checked more than a minute and asked say full name of faculty, I said , then he searched more than a minute .
Vo- Who Is Funding?
Me - My father is sponsoring Me with his savings....

Me- having business so and so

Me - yes and said details (no one is in usa)

Biometric 15th May 2022 (I had some changes in my ds 160 form. Don't freak out. People there will help you.)

Slot time:- 10:50 AM
I reached there at 8:30 AM and got called into the consulate at 9:15AM (Please be early, they ll let you in based on the timings. Its very well organised.)


At the entrance, they will ask for the passport.

No phones are allowed and gadgets. Locker facity is available but there is a long queue.

In the waiting room they asked for the i20, sevis receipt and passport.

First, they will check the above mentioned documents. And, then you ll move to the next counter (for interview)

Counter number:- don't remember
VO: American woman. She didn't look at me much the entire time of the interview.

Vo:- Good morning.
Me:- Good morning.
Vo:- Can you pass me the i20 and the passport??
Me:- here is my passport and i20
Vo:- so you work in **** company?
Me:- yes ma'am, I did my apprenticeship training here for 1 year. I worked on many projects related to mechanical, automation and robotics. I worked on agvs, automatic oil level sensors and Andon systems.
Vo:- what are You Goin to specialise in mechatronics?
Me:- No ma'am, I'll be doin my ms in robotics.
Vo:- oh okay. What are your courses?
Me:- I'll be specialising in acting since they have three main domains in robotics that is reasoning, sensing and acting. I'll take up courses like dynamics, vehicle dynamics and control mechanics. (I kept talking since she wasn't looking at me)

She typed for sometime.
Vo:- okay approved. Next.
Me:- Thanks

Me : I’m going to Ganonn University to pursuing my bachelor degree in public service and global affairs. Currently I’m volunteering my time in jaago foundation. After I graduate, I am gonna join as a spokesperson in jaago or brac or any other top of NGO . Later on in my life I’ll start my own NGO in here.

VO: Great. What’s your specialisation?

Me : Public Services and global affairs.
Me : I think i saw you at the American Center!
VO: American Club? With smile
Me : No. American center.
VO: I haven't been to the American Center yet.
VO: Why Gannon?
Me: I talked to the education USA advisor
He suggested this university is good in my field. Also one of my friend from this university. He told me about university^s professors are good and very helpful. (Interpreted)
VO: are you complete your law?

Me : No, I’m in my second semester.

VO: Brac Doesn’t provide this degree?

Me: No maam. Some of my universities professors suggest me to this subject.
VO: Oh. Great. I see you have rejections. Anything change in your file?

Me: oh with smile, maam to be frank in my interviews, i was so nervous I unable to convince the visa officer

VO: Have you any international travel history?

Me : Yes maam. I visited India back in 2018 with my family in our eid vacation. But we were supposed to visit Dubai, but We can’t due to COVID-19


VO: typing continuously………. After 2 minutes she said I can’t approve your visa as my senior colleagues denied this. But i have a suggestion for you change anything in your profile then reapply.

( He passed me my i20 with a white slip )

Tips:
1) Just be confident and make sure you are sounding clearly.

2) Make sure you go in a proper outfit.

3)Talk more about the subject.

4) Explain your funds clearly.

5) Don't use shortforms.

6) There are more rejections in Mumbai. Based on this Telegram group. I suggest you to book the slot in Delhi.

** Before me he rejected 3 people but I didn't show him fear and answered clearly with clear loud voice and confidence.

That day I saw only he was rejecting so approval rate in delhi is fine.

There were two people before me h1b & f1. He approved two visas before me. He asked so many questions to approve h1b.

Asked me to scan my fingers

VO: what course and why(i heard only course from his mouth)?
Me: I am going for mscs in northeastern university. It has very flexible curriculum like for example I could take an AI course like Natural language processing and a system and software course like web development or mobile application development and.. (he interrupted me)

VO: When did you graduate?
Me: I just gave my end sem examinations 10 days back and I will get my certificate by the end of july.

VO: Funding?
Me: My father is sponsoring me.I got 40 lakhs from hdfc credila and 20 lakhs savings.

VO: What does your father do?
Me: He is a state government employee for 25 years( as i was about to mention the name of the company, he said your visa is approved).

Infront of me 2 members....

grilled one person for few minutes and asked his Marksheet and approved him

Another girl she was going to some community college so she couldn't explained properly and fumbled a lot and VO rejected her

Nxt my turn she waved her hand to come forward.

Me: good morning mam
No reply
Passed my passport and i20

VO: So why u did u choose this school?
Me: explained my reasons why i choosed gannon university.

VO: how many universities did you applied?
Me: Apart from gannon i applied to two other universities indiana tech and lewis University.
VO: And the result?
Me: and i got all the 3 admits.
VO: why this?
Here where i messed up my interview completely and replied the same answer why i choose this university.
Later i realized that her question was why i had choose gannon over other two admits.

Typing for few seconds and gave a weird look at her computer screen...i think she was reading previous comments..

VO: Whats ur father?
Me: my father is a businessman owns a company and explained about his role and people working under him with his annual income....and after that i started to say about the immovable assets we own and she interupted...
