VO - what have you been doing since?

Me - I have been doing my process since then. Actually i had started my process on time for September intake but my results came a little late than expected so i had to defer my intake to January but again unfortunately due to shortage of visa slots I couldn’t get one and once again had to defer it to May and now finally here I am with a slot giving interview.

VO - okay. What made you choose finance?

Me - ma’am, for me a perfect career is something that would be in good demand in the next 10 years and something that is your interest, something that you’re skilled at and Finance is one such career for me.
I had these subjects in my intermediate, they were interesting to me , i was good at it and eventually i just found that this is the field i want to continue through out my career.

VO- how are you going to fund?

Me- ma’am my father is my primary sponsor. We have a savings of xx lacs and a loan of xx lacs.

VO - What does he do ?

Me - he’s into real estate. He’s basically a buying and selling consultant for properties.

VO - which bank ?

Me - xx bank

VO - rate of interest?

Me- 12% ma’am

VO - okay, your visa is approved!

Me - thankyou ma’am! Thankyou so much!

Tip- use hand gestures

( It helps you show that you’re explaining your answer instead of repeating the mugged up anwers. Which leaves a good impression and shows you more confident)

Note!- its not at all as scary as people show. I must say it’s easier than a job interview if you know your TRUE reasons to why you’ve decided wht you’ve decided!

Me - I was about to start explaining about the professional courses that I took but she stopped me before I could even start.(Probably because she looked at this in my DS-160)

Main Takeaways:
1. Be confident and am I sure that you have heard this term from multiple people DO NOT 'FUMBLE'. It's as simple as that even if you don't know answer to the question say atleast what basic idea you have in your mind, please don't just stand there in limbo. Even if you don't have confidence act like you do.

2. Don't try to change counters, security guard has good memory he can easily figure out if you have changed the counter or not.

3. Best time to be present for the interview is 1 hour before the given time. Don't deplete your energy by arriving early and by standing in the sun.

4. Practice is the key. Try to get mock from your peers, it would be better if you don't know them personally.
