2022-04-08 06:30:25 The #Mallikarjuna temple is located in the town of Kuruvatti (also spelt Kuruvathi) in the Bellary district of #Karnataka.

The temple was constructed in the early 12th century rule of the Western Chalukya Empire (also known as the Later or Kalyani Chalukya empire).

2022-03-29 15:50:31 GUJARAT has a lot of vavs or stepwell for we think water scarcity has always been a problem here. Usually step wells were created to conserve water. In olden times Adalaj is a prime example of how conservation of water with great aesthetics was done back then.

Many times people confuse the murti (vigraha) for Nandi with face. It is a very rare Murti of Agni as mentioned in the Rig Veda.

The murti is found at the Agnivrush temple in Pateshwar Shiva Temple complex at Degaon near Satara in Maharashtra.

Pachala Someswara Temple is a Saivite Hindu temple located in Panagal of Nalgonda district, Telangana, India. It is a popular pilgrimage site during Maha Sivaratri. The idol of the deity here is carved out of green onyx which gives the temple its name - Pacha in Telugu means Green.

The temples dates to 11th to 12th centuries CE and was probably built during the rule of Kunduru Chodas and Prataparudra I of Kakatiya Empire over the Panagal region.

It was built around the mid 11th-century during the rule of the Kunduru Chodas (a branch of Tamil Cholas), supported and embellished further by later Hindu dynasties of Telangana.

The temple got its name as there is an everlasting shadow (Chaya in Telugu) on the Shiva Lingam in the main temple all day long
