IT Support Helpdesk Technician
An IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance. They interact with customers by phone or in-person to resolve their computer problems related to software and hardware issues to help them get back up and running smoothly again.
IT Support duties and responsibilities of the job
●Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners ● Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks ●Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests ●Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone) ●Setting up accounts for new users
● Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary IT Support job qualifications and requirements
● Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
● Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
● Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
● Proficiency in English
● Excellent communication skills
● Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
● A technical, logical thought process
● Problem-solving skills
● An ability to stick to strict deadlines
● An ability to prioritize and delegate
● A keen eye for detail
● BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field
