US House Committee Subpoenas Former Trump Aides Miller, McEnany in Capitol Riot Probe

The US House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack issued subpoenas for more Trump associates, including former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany and former Senior Advisor Stephen Miller, the Select Committee.
Former officials including Trump Deputy Chief of Staff Christopher Liddell, Personnel Director John McEntee and personal assistant Nicholas Luna also received subpoenas in addition to McEnany and Miller.

Trump released a statement on Tuesday calling those in charge of the probe in Congress “The Unselect Committee of politically ambitious hacks.” The former president added that the Select Committee should instead be studying the allegations of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election that sparked the January 6 protests.

Hundreds of City Workers Protest Against Vaccine Mandate in LA

Mandatory vaccination
for civil servants and municipal workers has been met with resistance across the US, with many opponents ready to leave their jobs in order to avoid getting a jab. Public discontent has raised concerns over staff shortages, especially in some crucial services, like firefighters and police.

Hundreds of mandatory vaccination opponents gathered in Grand Park in Los Angeles for a March for Freedom rally on Monday, shortly after city authorities introduced a vaccination deadline for municipal workers, set for December 18.

California mandated vaccinations for public sector workers for several months in accordance with federal and local government orders, but some cities, including Los Angeles, have adopted stricter requirements, stipulating that employees must be vaccinated and cannot be routinely tested as an alternative.

Alec Baldwin Demands Police Presence on Movie Sets Following Fatal Shooting

After an on-set tragedy involving him left "Rust" cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead and director Joel Souza wounded, the 63-year-old actor has been at the center of an ongoing discussion in Hollywood about the usage of real guns during production.

Alec Baldwin issued a statement on social media on Monday to promote his solution for making film sets with firearms safer, it involves hiring police officers.

The actor said that he feels that having a police presence paid for by the networks or studios will result in fewer gun-related mishaps.

Shortly after the incident involving Baldwin, ABC's detective drama "The Rookie" reportedly revealed that it will no longer utilize real guns on set, instead opting for airsoft weapons with genuine sounds and muzzle flare added using VFX.

200 of Halyna Hutchin's cinematography colleagues signed an open letter last week indicating that they will not work on sets with firearms.

Nearly Two Thirds of Americans Against Biden Running For Second Term, Poll Shows

Nearly two-thirds, or 64 percent, of those surveyed, including 28 percent of Democrats, said they do not want Biden to run in the 2024 elections, according to a USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll.

In comparison, 58 percent said they do not want former US President Donald Trump to run for another term in 2024.

As low as 37.8 percent said they approved of the job Biden has done as president; 59 percent said they disapproved, and 46 percent, including 16 percent of those who voted for him, said Biden has done worse than they expected.

The respondents said they would vote for their Republican congressional candidate over the Democratic one by 46-38 percent, if the election were held right now.

San Francisco Chronicle (SFC) Slammed Online For Asking If Locals Should ‘Tolerate’ Crime Surge

California, and San Francisco in particular, has long been in the spotlight for an unprecedented crime surge that has been recorded amid declining living standards statewide, the pandemic and skyrocketing rates of people dying from armed violence across the US.

San Francisco residents have expressed their outrage after the SFC asked in Twitter last week whether locals “should tolerate burglaries as a part of city living, and focus on barricading homes.”

Bewildered Twitter users wondered how this level of crime could be tolerated, noting that "nobody is searching for answers," as "stealing from and hurting other people is just wrong."

According to a poll conducted in June, more than 40 percent of San Francisco residents said they plan to move out of the city within the next few years. Eight out of 10 San Francisco respondents believed that crime in the city has skyrocketed in recent years.

’Predictable & Preventable Tragedy’: Travis Scott & Drake Sued For Astroworld Stampede

Eight people died
in the chaos at Friday’s Astraworld festival, in which, according to media reports, Scott played a large part by inciting fans to rush the stage and ignoring calls to stop the concert as ambulances were already at the scene trying to remove the injured from the area.

At least one injured concertgoer has filed a lawsuit against rapper Travis Scott, organizer ScoreMore and Live Nation, but also rapper Drake, who was invited to his show as a special guest, claiming they bear full responsibility for a tragedy that could have been prevented.

In the lawsuit, the attendee, Manuel Souza, claims that the incident, which he called a “predictable and preventable tragedy,” was the result of “a motivation for profit at the expense of concertgoers’ health and safety” and the “encouragement of violence.

US Senators Push Amendment in Defense Bill to Stop Nord Stream 2 Project

A group of Republican Senators introduced an amendment in the 2022 US defense policy bill that would impose mandatory sanctions on Nord Stream 2 AG, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ranking Member Jim Risch's office said in a press release.

The $768 billion US defense policy bill has bipartisan support and is expected to pass the Senate with easy approval once Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer schedules a vote.

The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline was completed on September 10 and will deliver gas from Russia to Germany via the Baltic Sea. The process of certifying Nord Stream 2 AG as the pipeline’s independent operator is currently underway to ensure the project complies with the conditions of the February 12 EU Gas Directive.

The German regulator has to make a decision on certification by January 2022.

Florida's Gov. Office Blasts Biden as Over 70 Migrant Night Flights Landed in State

Since the summer, more than 70 night-time flights transporting illegal migrants from the US southern border have landed in Jacksonville, Florida, The Washington Examiner reported, citing Governor Ron DeSantis' office, which raised concerns about the impact of the border issue on states around the country.

US media reported that the Biden administration has been flying illegal migrants into non-border states in order to ease the burden on overstretched border authorities in light of the unprecedented border crisis.

Under Title 42 public health provisions, the Biden administration has only removed single persons and a small group of migrant families. Unaccompanied minors are placed in the custody of the Health and Human Services before being reunited with sponsors around the country.

The Biden administration has reportedly refused to disclose who has arranged the supposed flights and other information.

House GOPers Express Concern as Intelligence Agencies May Dismiss Thousands of Unvaccinated Officers

Several Republican lawmakers expressed concerns over personnel shortages among the intelligence community as thousands of secret service officers may leave their jobs due to mandatory vaccination.

The administration’s recent actions to boost vaccinations among civil servants and military personnel across the US have been met with stiff resistance, with many employees opting to resign instead. According to the Military Times, 8,500 members of the US Air Force failed to meet the November 22 vaccination deadline.

Despite the fact that vaccination rates appeared to be higher than in the rest of the US (97 percent in CIA) and it is believed that many officers will meet the deadline set, some key national security-related agencies may face understaffing.

According to Republican congressman Chris Stewart, several agencies had between 20 and 40 percent of their officers still unvaccinated.
