Galatians 2:20
[20] I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

And once Christ starts living in you and through you, others will see, they will desire and they will want what you have! Thus pointing them to the same process that has taken place in you!

Joseph we are told was a “successful man “ now I’m sure that he didn’t always feel successful. Success sometimes comes with a heavy cost! Like suffering!

Joseph was the man that was conspired against by his wicked brothers, Right? Wasn’t He sold by his brothers in Dothan (Genesis 37:16), he was the man that was bought by the Ishmaelite’s! He was the man thought to be dead by his father Jacob, because of the lies that was told by the wicked brothers! Wasn’t Joseph the man that was sold once again to Potiphar! Sound successful?

Notice though as we come to Genesis 39:2 we are told….

Genesis 39:2
[2] The LORD was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master.

BUT! wasn’t this man Joesph the same man accused by Potiphar’s wife of rape? Wasn’t this the man that was thrown into prison for false accusations? It says in……

Genesis 39:20
[20] And Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined, and he was there in prison.

BUT Notice what it says right after that in verse 21!

Genesis 39:21
[21] But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

God was with Him!

All that to say this, Success, prosperity, “God’s Favor” comes with a cost and sometimes sufferings ! And more importantly, this is what you need to remember!

You should be chasing after God not success, because without God you would be an unsuccessful Joseph! But with God you can walk through trials of life, be sold, hated, lied about, misrepresented and yet in the Eyes of God be successful!

My encouragement to you friend is to Purse God, not success and in what ever you do, if you are seeking God, you my friend will be successful!

We are certainly living in days that causes many people to be desperate for change, many holding a passion to fix all that is wrong in this world and rightfully so! But know this, no matter how bad things get, no matter how twisted times get, we need to be reminded that Light and darkness have nothing in common!

Oh they will pursue you to partner with the wicked, they will persuade you to come along side of those that differ in regards to your faith, but don’t be talked into it! Those people doesn’t trust God! They trust in the wisdom of man! They will twist scripture to accomplish their purpose, but they know not the Word of God!

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has a sanctuary of God with idols?
(2 Corinthians 6:14–17 LSB)

So! You don’t be yoked, you don’t be connected, or you don’t go into partnership with those that reject Christ! Rather you rely on the Lord to work His plan out, let them live a life that is freaked out and scared! You Love and trust Christ!

“Therefore do not be partakers with them, for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of that light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. And do not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead even expose them. For it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.”
Ephesians 5:7–14 LSB

1 John 2:15-17

Do Not Love the World
(15) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. (17) And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

This topic came up a few times today in various forms. Then, these scriptures "ironically" were part of a Bible study I did today. Okay, you say ironic, I say Holy Spirit wisdom.

The simple truth of it is that EVERY single person that was, that is or that will ever be, will live for ALL eternity. It does not matter whether you believe this or not. It does not matter whether you believe in God or Jesus. It does not matter if you try to run and hide. It does not matter if you don't "feel" like it. You will live for eternity, either with God or without God!

Where? That is the question!

This is what matters: but whoever does the will of God abides forever. Major emphasis on "the will of God"!

The Will of God = The Bible = 100% Truth = Belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for the 1 time payment for the forgiveness of your sins = acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and Savior = salvation = eternity in Heaven with our loving Father, The God Most High.

You can't see me right this second, but I have the most amazing smile on my face and joy in my heart, because I know WHERE I get to spend eternity. With my Father in Heaven!! DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU WILL BE?

2022-01-22 05:23:44 Calling Darkness Dark, will never make it Light! One must shine the Light into the Darkness and the result is that Light always overcomes the Darkness! Some people have it backward!

Now go be awkward and preach the Gospel!
