Britain is set to be a “transit” country for natural gas supplies to Europe this summer as the continent scrambles to ditch its dependency on Russian reserves - Daily Telegraph
Details: National Grid (one of the world's largest publicly listed utilities focused on transmission and distribution of electricity and gas) expects UK gas exports to Europe to rise over the next six months until September when Europe's storage starts filling up ahead of next winter, using less gas from the Kremlin.
The newspaper notes that the gas that comes to the UK from Norway via a gas pipeline through the North Sea, as well as on tankers in the form of LNG from around the world, can then be transported to Europe via pipelines to Belgium and the Netherlands.
