Protestors in Coutts are holding the line and want the world to know that they are completely peaceful, and that claims being made against them by RCMP that they are a militant group have no basis in reality whatsoever.
They say that RCMP allegations of a protest vehicle attempting to ram them and threats being made against their officers last night were completely fabricated and that there is no evidence to support these claims.
They also say that allegations of firearms being found among the protestors’ belongings in last night’s raid are untrue. They have made it clear that no one associated with the protest has brought firearms of any kind.
In addition to the recent string of allegations attempting to paint the protest as violent, RCMP are also accused of sabotaging 3 excavators parked on nearby private land over the weekend.
