A hidden supermassive black hole in a dwarf galaxy
It was discovered in the Constellation Hound Dogs - in the dwarf galaxy Mrk 462, about 110 million light years away.
Discovered black hole has a mass of about 200 thousand solar masses. It is one of the smallest supermassive black holes. The hole was found by NASA's Chandra X-Ray Space Observatory, launched in 1999.
The agency called the discovery one of the first cases where a heavily hidden supermassive black hole was found in a dwarf galaxy
