When astronauts close their eyes, they see flashes of light - about once every 3 minutes
There is a theory that this phenomenon is due to the effect of high-energy particles (so-called cosmic rays) hitting the retina. However, it wasn’t confirmed experimentally in any way.
Perhaps the "flash" effect can be explained by some failures in the nervous system
