SC rejects Arnab's plea to transfer case from Maharashtra police to CBI

The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a plea filed by Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami seeking transfer of the investigation of a case, filed against him for allegedly defaming Congress president Sonia Gandhi, from the Maharashtra police to the CBI. However, the apex court extended Goswami's interim protection from arrest for another three weeks.
