The important news with which he returned straight to the prime minister's office is very worrying news. Yesterday the governor of the Bank of Israel Professor Amir Yaron came to a meeting that was not planned in advance with the Prime Minister in which he presented to him the impressions of senior managers in credit rating companies as well as the concern of senior executives in global banking about the so-called "reform in the courts". The government said, "The Governor of the Bank of Israel reviewed at the meeting the challenges facing Israel, both locally and from an international perspective." As they say "and the one who understands will understand".

As part of the conference, the governor participated in a panel on the regulation of central bank digital currencies (CBDC). The governor referred to the digital shekel project managed by the Bank of Israel, and the cooperation the bank maintains with the central banks of Norway and Sweden and the BIS to examine the feasibility of establishing a platform for making cross-border payments, based on a HUB that links the CBDC systems of different countries, the construction of which was led by the information technology team of the Bank of Israel

The governor of the Bank of Israel, Prof. Amir Yaron, returned to Israel after participating in the annual economic conference, the World Economic Forum, held in Davos, Switzerland.

As part of the conference, the governor participated in a panel on digital currency regulation, where he also described the digital currency development process led by the Bank of Israel in collaboration with major banks in the world, while establishing a joint HUB built by the Bank of Israel's information technology team.
