Meat Cyber Strike UPDATE : Almost 20% of US beef capacity wiped out by JBS hack (Report)
JBS’s five biggest beef plants in the US have halted their slaughterhouse process following the weekend cyber-attacks, according to JBS posts on Facebook.
It is unclear globally how many plants have been affected at this point – the company accounts for about a quarter of all US beef capacity and roughly a fifth of all pork.
Livestock futures have slumped, while pork prices rose.
