Code switching is a term that refers to the alternation between two or more languages, dialects in the course of communications between people who have more than one language in common.

In other words it is changing from one language to another in communication.

Code switching often occurs in bilingual communities or families.

Can it occur in aviation?- Of course. Pilots and ATCs are obliged to use English in communication, for majority of them it is not native language. Thus, in some cases they sometimes resort to native language. Why can it happen?- Due to stress from emergency situation or high workload or sometimes due to lack of English proficiency.
