INTERVIEW: Why is Ukraine Going to Hold Back M1 Abrams Tanks?

Ukraine's head of military intelligence said in a recent interview:

"They should be used in a very tailored way for very specific, well-crafted operations because if they are used at the front line and just in a combined arms fight, they will not live very long on the battlefield."

In other words, the US doesn't want to see their M1 Abrams burning next to German Leopard 2s and British Challenger 2s, making this already token gesture even more meaningless.
