It serves as an accurate anology for upcoming US elections since these same shareholders own and direct both sides of the aisle in Washington...
The article explains:
"... retail investors and about half the active institutional investors are part of team Coke; about 49% of Coca-Cola shareholders want Coke to beat Pepsi. Over half of Coca-Cola shareholders either want Pepsi to beat Coke or are indifferent between them."An added bonus is if these same people can convince the public to invest themselves in their products, be it Pepsi & Coke, or politics & hope.
As long as you invest in one, you're not working on anything that truly competes against them, they win.
