The Great Green Wall Initiative The Great Green Wall is an African-led movement with an epic ambition to grow an 8,000km natural wonder of the world across the entire width of Africa.
The initiative targets the planting of an 8000 km long and 15 km wide mosaic of trees, grasslands, vegetation and plants across the Sahara and Sahel. Further, it will make a vital contribution to the SDGs.
