BE/BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, 5 months work ex(2022 grad)

Three Panelists (2M and 1F)

Panelist 1(F):
- Confirms my name and asks where I am joining from and where I actually from

Panelist 2:
- You did your 12th in FIITJEE Hyderabad, why?
- So your aim was IIT, what do you think went wrong? (I didn't get IIT if it wasn't clear)
- Don't you think 2 years of your life has been wasted due to joining FIITJEE?

Panelist 3:
- You were a minor when you joined your 11th right? So, was it your choice or was it due to your parents forcing you to join?

Back to P2:
- (Since I had mentioned about volunteering as a staff for a game) How did that help you?
- Examples?
- (Tried to explain but was interrupted) Don't give any blank statements, just actual examples of incidents

P1 takes over:
- Since you mentioned about the game, you must be aware of apps like Dream 11 right?
- What are they?
- Don't you think they should be banned since gambling is illegal?

A lot of to and fro happened discussing on banning of such apps. I maintained my stance that rather than just focusing on banning such apps, more awareness must be raised. The panelist raised several counter points on how these apps/games were just a waste of time, minors getting affected by it and how we used to leave in the pre smartphone era with books etc. I gave suitable explanations to each point. Overall, it was an engaging conversation.

P3 takes over:
- So you are from Ballari(place in Karnataka famous for mining). Why is the news always negative on that region?

Explained a bit about mining organizations doing illegal mining, how it affected the region and how it is currently

P3:
- Do you think government is the reason for it? Should they have made better laws?
- So you studied computer science and mentioned datastructures as a favourite subject, why are trees considered non-linear?
- What does big O(n) mean?
- Explain with bubble sort as example
- Calculate the same for binary search algorithm for it's worst case

Overall very engaging interview. Quite different than from the others as I felt they were actually focusing on getting to know me by raising the points I had written in my sop and with lot of questions surrounding decision making and ethics
