Fearing escalating tensions in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, the Israelis were flying the military ship under the flag of another country with a trade ID, making it seem like a cargo ship.

Sources indicate that the vessel was collecting intel in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, when it was supposedly struck by an Iranian missile.

The ship returned to a Saudi port.
