Freedom is not protected by the military but by the will to be free. And only when we can define "freedom" can we also find the will to live in it. Most Americans cannot define freedom. Freedom is living as the type of human God created intends you to be. Living in a "free country" means that you live in a country that encourages but doesn't force you to pursue that end and punishes those who attempt to lead you away from it. This system of government is embodied in laws such as:
Do not steal
Do not swear falsely
Do not commit adultery
etc.
Having laws that reflect these values is what made us a "Christian nation." Leaving these values behind devolves us into Communism, which is the embodiment of Athiest/Satanist government.

I read a quote from Ted Nugent this morning that appealed to "common sense."
What conservatives call "common sense" is a sense that was inherited from our Puritan ancestors. You cannot appeal to what is no longer common and expect to make headway. You have to
return to what was once common: The fear of a Holy God.
Neither is it enough for you, alone, to return to the fear of God. You must become persuasive in appealing for others to join you.
This is the task at hand.
A Christian revival is the only forward path.
