2021-09-24 12:32:02 Forwarding telemetry data to Polish e-Toll system with Flespi

On October 1, 2021 Poland introduces a new toll road system called e-Toll that requires all vehicles over 3.5 tons to report certain location data with retain frequency to the e-Toll servers. Based on this data, vehicle owners will be charged according to the system regulations and conditions.

We created a dedicated stream in Flespi that will help any prospect or current service provider for e-Toll to easily forward required telemetry data either directly from devices or by retranslating the data from other platforms.

The process is very straightforward and is explained in detail in our blog post:

2021-09-23 12:39:58 IoT supplier’s dilemma — to bundle or not to bundle

When an IoT solution company embarks on a project, it clearly sees the task to be resolved to eliminate the end-user pain or simplify a certain process. However, when the development starts, the focus often deviates towards technical details such as picking the right hardware, finding the best connectivity provider, opting for suitable enablement services, etc. Of course, this is part of the job solution companies are supposed to do but this shouldn’t stand in the way of delivering the business logic that actually solves the task at hand.

In this article, we consider the benefits that bundled IoT services may have for solution companies as well as for the market as a whole.

2021-09-17 11:10:22 How ScootAPI with Flespi under the hood helps sharing business become profitable

Sharing businesses flood the streets of cities across the globe with e-scooters, e-bikes, e-mopeds, and other micromobility devices. Obviously, these services are not very much different from each other since they serve the same purpose. So, starting your sharing app from scratch doesn’t make any sense now — you will waste money and will be late to market.

Luckily, the guys from ScootAPI did a major part of the work for you — you get a Client-side app (iOS, Android), White labeling functionality to customize the look, Administrative panel, and Operator panel. What’s left is to buy scooters, connect them to the ScootAPI platform, and market your sharing business.

2021-09-09 10:40:01 How to minimize idling in times of global semiconductor shortage?

Automakers (like GM, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, etc.), tech giants (like Intel, Samsung, Apple, etc.), and other companies from chip-reliant industries across the globe are reducing the volumes of production or halting manufacturing because of chip delivery issues of unseen magnitude.

The telematics solution companies depending on the hardware supply to deploy their projects also go through hardship with the unpredictably long delivery times.

In view of that, we want to suggest a way to alleviate this pain by easily extending the choice of telematics devices your solution will seamlessly work with.
