Motorola is the first company to manufacture a handheld mobile phone.

Martin Cooper is the “father of the handheld cellphone”
and the co-founder of several communications companies. It was in the 1970s, Cooper was with Motorola (an American multinational telecommunications company) when he invented the first handheld cellular mobile phone. Martin Cooper led Motorola with his inventions and brought them to market in the year 1983. He was the first-ever person to make a handheld mobile phone call in public.
