On May 7, Seven BM-1 rockets were fired from Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province toward Tajikistan, one impact reported in Amo river and six others impacted on Tajik land.
ISKP claimed responsibility the missile attack on Saturday.
Afghan media quoted the Taliban-led government attributed the attack to the ISIS terrorist group, while local Tajik officials at the Afghan border claimed that the terrorist act was carried out by anti-government militants in Tajikistan.
No casualties reported on either side.
This is the second missile attack from Afghanistan on Central Asian countries (Uzbekistan and Tajikistan).
The ISIL terrorist group also claimed responsibility for a missile attack on Uzbekistan on April 18.
