Long story short... Going back to Sumer and forward, almost all gods were copied again and again, symbolism and more copies, even still today... Christianity began as a Hellenistic model first, based on Plato and Aristotle's philosophies on what they believed God would be like.

Note: Christianity uses a "halo" [halo?] that appears more like the sun behind the heads of angels, and the symbolism of the sun behind the cross is more concerning, considering the origins are from a sun cross and the MUCH earlier Ankh. It gets REALLY hairy around that period.

Serapis and his wife Isis were a pair of "Savior deities" and had a family of "Temple sharing" gods. Cleopatra III added a few more, including a "Basket bearer" god, a "Crown bearer" god, and a "Light bearer" god...
