Here is a brief recap of a candlight vigil held near Meskel Square in Addis Ababa in honor of Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom, who was violently gunned down in Los Angeles, California on Sunday Mar 31, 2019. Hundreds gathered to wish the Eritrean rapper and businessman goodbye.

Our idea was to keep his mission and vision of community outreach and philanthropy alive by deciding to do a live painting of Nipsey to be auctioned off to a charity in his name. We managed to raise about 20,000 ETB to be donated to Yenat Fana Charity at Berhane Zare School in Addis Ababa, which provides free lunches for schoolchildren ages 4-6.
