$MDB buy under 270
MongoDB is software developer.
Growth potential and duration: 20% for 14 months; 11% per year for 15 years.
Why shares can rise: they fell a lot.
We take stocks now at $ 270, and then there are two options:
1.Wait for the price of $ 325 and sell. This will be well below the all-time high of $ 422.85 in February 2021 and a fully achievable level for the next 14 months;
2.Keep stocks in grief and joy for the next 15 years, waiting for the company to emerge as a new IT giant. Over the long haul, the likelihood of a larger company being bought increases dramatically.
What the company makes money on?
Platform for developers. According to the company's annual report, its revenue is divided into two segments:
1.Subscription - 96%. The segment's gross margin is 74% of its revenue. This is a subscription to use the company's platform. In this segment, 47.9% of revenue comes from the cloud database service for MongoDB Atlas applications. The remaining 52.1% is a subscription to other software.
2.Services - 4%. These are training and consulting services. The segment is deeply unprofitable: the loss here is 27% of revenue.
