2022-04-12 16:38:53 One of my mentor's mantra was....

"The fast move, is the false move. The market maker trend is slow & relentless"

My background is in Biology, and I was thinking about what he said and it just makes soooo much sense if you think about it.

As humans, we have evolved to react quickly to things that move quickly.

As primative humans, it was a case of life and death.

When an animal or predator accelerates towards us, what's our natural instinct? To respond - to react.

Slow and steady? We barely notice it, it's almost hidden in plain sight.

Reflect this in the market, and you'll see that the fast moves, is what is designed to induce retail traders to take a position.

Think about it, when price gets to our high volume areas where we anticipate a reversal - does price move there SLOWLY or does it blast through it?

70% of the time, it blasts through it. This gets people excited!! Price moves quickly, so people feel the need to REACT and RESPOND to what they are SEEING.

Bottom line is...most people feel an innate compulsion to react to things that move quickly - hence, I believe this is why trading is generally a difficult profession for it goes against our very human nature - to sit and do nothing as things fly up and down haha.

Hence why I'm very interested in Marcus Aurelius & Stoicism..

2022-04-12 12:13:54 Good trading isn't about how much you make.

You can make money on poor decisions and lose money on good decisions.

Instead, focus on the process.

Identify your edge, execute it relentlessly, and don't look for shortcuts.

Which is ideal?

Obviously Direction before Speed.
Even if it means, taking 12/24/36 months to get the right direction in your trading edge, don't trade it for anything. STAY AT IT.

Because, after then, you can get to speedrun at whatever distance you want, the money comes in easily. Yes. Very certain, EASILY.

Patiently, build yourself.
Don't rush it.
Think Long-term on this grand. It's a mindset you have to put on.

Stay on relentlessly. I got you covered.

Happy weekend folks.

Don't stress trading. Unless you want to return your profits to the markets, the weekend should (as a custom) start today.

Work on things other than charting. It helps a great deal.

For the most part of your trading career, that's how your Mondays and Fridays should be.

- JadeCap

When you understand the above statement, you deaden any form of excitement you have concerning the markets and profitability, and learn to respect the process of trading itself.

Think this through.
