The general meeting of the International Kurash Association and the International Kurash Institute was held at the headquarter of the International Kurash Association.
The meeting was attended by the IKA President Haider Farman, Technical Director of IKA Mohammed Reza Nasseri, rector of the IKI Khabibulla Tadjiev, Head of IKA administration Mansur Mirzaev and employees of the International Kurash Association and the International Kurash Institute.
The meeting was chaired by IKA President Haider Farman via an online video conference.
Initially, the IKA president announced a change in the structure of the leadership of the IKA.
Umid Yakubov, the Secretary-General of the International Kurash Association, resigned from his position to another important position and the volume of work increased.
Mr.Haider Farman expressed his gratitude to Mr. Umid Yakubov for his commitment to kurash and for his great services in the wide development of kurash in the world.
Mr. Umid Yakubov had been working as a Secretary-General of the International Kurash Association for around 22 years.
With his initiative and direct efforts, kurash has developed widely in the world. More than 100 national federations were opened. Many international tournaments and championships were organized at a high level.
The executive committee of the International Kurash Association recognized the work of Mr. Umid Yakubov and expressed gratitude.
It was announced that IKA technical director, Mr. Mohammed Reza Nassiri was appointed as an acting Secretary-General of IKA till the next election next year.
External management will be applied to IKI through IKA by the President himself, the president also mentioned that more foreigners should be involved within the IKI physically and online, Any research done by IKI must be sent for approval to IKA before implementing it, It was also agreed by Mr.Nassiri that IKI Journal will be published soon.
This year, many seminars and training courses on the professional development of international kurash coaches and referees will be held.
Only in June of this year, it is planned to hold an international seminar for coaches of the Kurash federations of Western Asian countries in Dubai from 17 to 20 June 2022 and international training courses and examinations of referees, Prize MONEY for heavyweights Men and Women in Kurash in Pune, India.22-27 June
It is also planned to organize referee and coaching seminars in more than 10 national federations in 2022.

Сhanges in the IKA top management

The General secretary of the International Kurash Association Mr Umid Yakubov sent a resignation letter to the President of the IKA Mr Haider Farman due to his appointment to another high profile position.
IKA President Mr Farman expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr Yakubov for his commitment and loyal services to Kurash and the IKA. Mr Yakubov had been working as a General secretary of the international Kurash Association for the last 22 years.
The Directing Committee of the International Kurash Association recognises the valuable contribution of Mr Yakubov and expresses its immense gratitude for his activities in Kurash promotion around the world.
In accordance with the decision of the IKA President, the vacant position of the IKA General secretary will be occupied by the IKA Technical director Mr Mohammad Reza Nassiri Nejad. His term in office will continue till the next year’s Election Congress of the IKA. Mr Nassiri will also continue his job as a Technical director of the IKA.

On May 20, the Greek kurash Championship among cadets took place in the city of Amedion of Greece.
