what to do now if you are finishing high school this year and applying to unis in the fall?
one thing i learned that we must do now is to get the rec letters prepared. why? because now is the time when your teachers know you best: your commitment, discipline, academic potential and accomplishments. now is also the time when your teacher is ready to dedicate some time to you.
what happens if we postpone that to, say, august or even fall?
one, your teachers will forget some key aspects of you that might make your application stronger: some situations from the real life, that you helped her to conduct a lesson and etc. two, teachers at that time may be busy doing other important work or spending time writing recs for current students rather than graduates. Everything is possible.
so don't forget to ask your teachers to write a rec letters now.
