Ethiopian Human Rights Council (EHRCO) is a non-governmental, | Merahit Club / መራሒት ክበብ

Ethiopian Human Rights Council (EHRCO) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan, membership-based organization that is officially recognized with the Ethiopian Civil Society Agency under registration number 1146 and is now operating as a human rights civil society. EHRCO is an organization that strives for the establishment of a Democratic system, the prevalence of the Rule of Law, and the respect of Human Rights.

EHRCO has conducted a Rapid Response Project Report on human rights violations committed in Ethiopian within conflict settings ex-post the national reform process. In setting up the progressive ‘seriousness’ of the latter, the Report offers a unique regional account of political and security conditions within the country, and subsequently policy recommendations. And in so doing it has helped the EHRCO systematize its three decades worth of data set on human rights violations, advance its monitoring, documentation, and reporting activities, and support the current national reform process, above all, by soliciting authentic accountability and redress schemes towards victims as well as perpetrators, respectively,

As a continuation of the project activities, the organization has prepared a half day report rollout and discussion sessions in Assosa, Bahir-dar, Hawassa, Adama and Addis Ababa and is looking for participants that are driven and passionate to know more about Ethiopia's past three years human rights situations and make change.

Are you passionate for the human rights arena in Ethiopia? Do you wish to know more about what the country went through in the past three years? Do you wish to contribute your fair share to change the situation?
