TINO and the "Nazi's were the first to use sodium fluoride by putting it into the water to pacify Jews"
TINO = Truthers In Name Only. These are ones in the truth movement that are not interested in doing proper fact checking and latch onto all manner of "conspiracy theories", even to such extremes as believing "The Earth is flat".
Real Truthers are interested in a proper and full examination of evidence and forming beliefs only after ample compelling evidence.
TINO will invariably use confirmation bias to adopt supporting beliefs because such beliefs help another belief of theirs. An example of this is those against water fluoridation.
There are real truthers against water fluoridation and @Covid19Truth does not in any way support water fluoridation, however, there are also TINO among them.
The TINO among anti water fluoridists have seen quotes about "Nazis fluoridating the water", so rather than do any proper fact checking to this, they immediately adopt this as a belief of fact. They can then parrot that to convince others of the dangers of fluoride because most people already have been indoctrinated with a plethora of anti Nazi propaganda. The claim of "Nazi fluoridation" is then often accepted because it finds a conducive receptive environment in the audience.
Real Truthers will fact check, so we are going to discuss this lie of "Nazi fluoridation" for the benefit of "truth".
Even some historians that we can debunk on other claims that they have made and are some of the most "Anti Nazi" people around, have investigated the "Nazi fluoridation" claim and found it baseless.
Politifact (of course not reliable in many areas) contacted historian Patricia Heberer-Rice of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, whose expertise is the German medical community, including Holocaust-era experimentation.
Heberer-Rice has a vested interest and bias in supporting claims against the "Nazis". Yet even she cannot back certain claims, among them are "Nazis used Jewish skin for lampshades", "Nazis made RIF soap from Jew fat", "Nazis shrunk the heads of Jews". All of these were popular claims decades ago until forensic evidence in recent decades unequivocally conclusively proved the props used for the claims as not containing the DNA and other forensic evidence. So these claims were debunked an no serious historian even attempts to push these claims now knowing they would be immediately discredited.
The fluoridation claim is no different. She makes claim about Mengele that are able to be proven as baseless, however, the fluoridation claim, like the soap claim, is just far too ridiculous for even her to support it.
As such she said: "None of the experimentation that she knows of involved fluoride, either for mind control or for healthy teeth."
Meanwhile, in the concentration camp system, as in the ghettos, it would have been surprising if fluoride delivery was a focus — in the final few days before liberation, water lines scarcely delivered water. So, would water have been treated just for the Jews? "I can't see it," she said.
But she had heard a similar Cold War-era theory. It wasn't about the Nazis fluoridating water. It was the Communists.
"The first mass fluoridation of drinking water was carried out by the U.S. Public Health Service on a trial basis in certain regions of this country in 1945, with its rapid extension in 1950, ... The first interest of German scientists in this approach was in 1949" -- that is, years after the Nazis had been deposed.
