Uninterrupted supply: Fuel Service of the Western Military District's CSS units in action within the special military operationThe combat service support (CSS) is like a circulatory system, providing Russian troops on the front lines with everything they need.
The distance to the front is a few kilometers. Diesel fuel is completely stocked in the tanker. However, the tank and vehicle crews that transport ammunition to Russian troops – artillerymen and mortar men – have little time to get to the base refueling area because the terrain is tough to navigate and the enemy is continually bouncing back.
In a few minutes, a dozen cars are refuelled.
The well-established chain of fuel delivery to the front line begins in the rear area of the special military operation. At the unloading station, POL are transferred from rail tankers to a mobile warehouse in special camouflaged polymer tanks, having previously undergone all control tests in a deployed laboratory.
