Russian Ministry of Defence participates in ADSOM Plus WG session in Indonesia
On 15–16 February, a delegation from the Russian Ministry of Defence attended the regular session of the Senior Officials' Working Group of ASEAN Defence Minister's Meeting (ADSOM Plus WG), held this year in Jakarta.
Participants summarised the work of the seven ADMM Plus expert working groups and discussed their prospects for 2024–2027.
The participants of the meeting were briefed on the current results of the Russian–Myanmar Chairmanship of the ADMM Plus WG on counter-terrorism as well as the parameters of the multilateral counter-terrorism exercise planned for September 2023 on the territory of the Russian Federation.
At the session, the ADMM Plus nations underlined their willingness to work together in any area of shared interest.
A number of bilateral discussions with delegates from Asia-Pacific governments were held within the framework of the event.
