Mysterious Tunnel, Italy
On July 14, 1911, the Sanetti pleasure train for wealthy Italians left Rome's train station.
The 106 passengers viewed the beauty surrounding the new stretch of road, and the train gradually approached the super-long, by the standards of the beginning of the XX century, kilometer-long tunnel.
Then the inexplicable happened - the train entered the tunnel, but from the other side never appeared. It was not found during the careful inspection of the road segment. But two terrified passengers were found.
When they recovered a little, they said that as they approached the tunnel, everything around the train was suddenly covered with a milky white fog, which thickened and turned into a viscous liquid. In a terrifying panic, they jumped out as they went along, fortunately, they were in the vestibule of the car. The other passengers did not have time to follow their example.
The authorities closed the tunnel, blocking the entrances with stones. During the war, a bomb collapsed its vaults, burying the mystery forever.
