Don’t miss this play read of
“Contagion & Containment: Quarantine Sketches”, a new work-in-development script by acclaimed playwright and National Library’s inaugural Creative Resident
Jean Tay. The script, which brings together characters from different walks of life who encounter one another at Singapore’s old quarantine sites, was inspired by materials from the collections of the National Library and the National Archives, creatively reinterpreted by Jean Tay during her residency period with NLB.
The session includes a talkback session after the read, together with the playwright and director.

Whether it’s the suspenseful storylines, or the cast of characters with intriguing backstories, you may be surprised to learn that some of the bestselling video games out there are, in fact, book adaptations, while others may feature narratives that have been continued in books.
Here's a round up of
books that gave birth to video games, and
books that continue the storylines where the games left off. Which entry are you most surprised by?
