Something I hear often is “God said to me!” No! God didn’t say anything to you out side of what He has already spoken through His Word! We have to stop saying things like that! The Lord may have impressed on your heart to give, pray, encourage and or serve in some capacity or revealed to you truth through His Word, but God didn’t speak to you, because there is no new revelation!

About the time someone says, “God spoke to me”, I’ve tuned you out and or I’m going to stop you and say, what do you mean that God spoke to you!

God is active, God is indeed working in and through His Word still today, but we need to be clear, because the ramifications of new revelation is awful and all that he cults are birthed from a voice outside the revealed Word of God!
