I have almost finished book #2 of "A Journey through John"! It has been a great reminded and a great encouragement. I was reminded this morning as i was working through the Chapter 13,

Chapter 13 / Page 162 ( A Journey Through John #2)

John 8:23
23 And He was saying to them, “You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.”

The remedy for NOT dying in your sin is to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ! and the result of that believing is that you will be saved and not worldly.

Worldliness has kept many people out of the Kingdom of God, but the Word of God warns against this kind of behavior. As a matter of fact, John warns us of this in 1 John 2:15-17.

1 John 2:15-17
15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

My encouragement for you is to believe the Gospel, love the Gospel, preach the Gospel and do not love the World, for it will burn, but for you who believe, wow, we get to live with Christ forever!
