I’ve noticed in a lot of vintage Christmas pictures the tree is decorated with lots of tinsel but you never see people using it anymore. Does anyone know what happened and why it stopped being used? (My grandparents in 1961)

JPR Williams playing for Bridgend in 1978 against New Zealand. He would lost 2 pints of blood before receiving 30 stitches to close the wound in his cheek. Despite this he returned to the pitch and finished the game.(1200x1200)
