The man in the picture raised this bull. He had been with him since he was born, watching him grow from a small calf into a full-grown animal.
Then he sold him to the arena. During the "performance," the exhausted and wounded bull saw his friend in the crowd. He recognized him among hundreds of other people and ran up to him seeking salvation from a painful execution.
