National Board of Wildlife:
Statutory Body under WPA 1972. Chairman is PM. The Minister in charge of the MoEF in GOI is the Vice-Chairperson. Approve projects around National Parks. NBW permission is mandatory for altering boundaries of wildlife sanctuaries and National Parks.
State Govt declare Sanctuaries and National Parks. For alteration of their boundaries can be done through resolution passed by state assembly with permission from NBW. The board is advisory in nature and advises the GOI in conservation and development of wildlife and forests.
