- Phenytoin is an anti-epileptic drug,
also called an anticonvulsant.
It works by slowing down impulses in
the brain that cause seizures.
- Phenytoin has been shown to induce gingival overgrowth by its interaction with a subpopulation of sensitive fibroblasts.
